Contact: hola@petiqueta.es · phone +34 676 63 56 62. Petiqueta is funded by voluntary member subscriptions and by affiliate links to shops, always marked as advertising or affiliate links.

Purpose

Petiqueta is an informational tool that analyses the label of dog and cat food and gives an indicative score, calculated with an algorithm using our own criteria (our criteria and their weights are our own, drawing on methods from FEDIAF/AAFCO and on European legislation), along with information on ingredients and possible alternatives.

Informational nature

The information on Petiqueta is indicative and does not replace the advice of a vet. Decisions about your pet's food and health are yours; always consult a professional if you have any doubts. We don't guarantee that the data for each product is complete or error-free.

Acceptable use and content you contribute

By using Petiqueta you agree to do so in accordance with the law. If you contribute content —product photos, ingredients or reports— you guarantee that you have the right to do so and that it does not include personal data or material that is offensive, illegal or infringes third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove any contribution that does not comply with this, and we are not responsible for content contributed by users.

Intellectual property

The texts, the design and the Petiqueta brand belong to their owner. Part of the product data comes from Open Pet Food Facts and its contributors, under the ODbL licence.

Product photos

Food photos are not hosted on Petiqueta: they are linked from the store or manufacturer that publishes them, and it is their server that sends them to your browser when you open the product page. We don't keep a copy of them or claim any rights over them, and the rights remain with whoever holds them.

When a store blocks that linking, its photo simply stops showing and we display a generic image. We don't get around that block in any way.

If you are a store, a manufacturer or the author of a photograph and you don't want us to link yours, write to us at hola@petiqueta.es stating the address of the image or the product: we will stop linking it. You don't need to justify anything or ask us through legal channels.

Affiliate links

Petiqueta takes part in various e-commerce affiliate programmes (including, among others, Amazon Associates and other pet-sector affiliate networks), through which we may earn a commission on purchases that meet the applicable requirements when we link to the relevant store. This costs you nothing extra and, above all, does not affect the score of foods: the score is calculated by an algorithm, not by money, and no store gets preferential treatment because of its commission. When a link is an affiliate link, we try to make it recognisable.

Liability

We provide the service «as is», with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability or of being completely error-free. We are not responsible for the use you make of the information or for the content of third-party websites we link to.

Availability and changes

Petiqueta is under continuous development. We may add, modify, suspend or withdraw features, content or the service itself at any time and without prior notice.

Governing law

This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts and tribunals that have jurisdiction under the law; if you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts of your place of residence.
