Cookie Policy

This is a translation for convenience; the Spanish version prevails in case of discrepancy.

Petiqueta uses necessary technical storage to work (session, preferences) and, only if you give us permission, third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the app is used. That's why we show you a notice when you arrive, where you can accept or reject — technical cookies don't need that notice, but analytics cookies do.

What we store and why

• Login session: keeps your account signed in between visits. It is managed by our authentication provider (Supabase).
• State and preferences on your device: the number of scans as a guest, whether you've already seen the welcome tour, and your choices about analytics and advertising (stored separately).
• An anonymous identifier: a random number, without your name or your email, that lets us know that the same visit scanned and then signed up. It is technical storage for our own measurement, it isn't shared with anyone and it disappears if you clear the site data.
• Analytics (Google Analytics), only if you accept it: helps us understand how many people visit the app and where they come from, in aggregate. It isn't activated until you give your consent, and Google may process that data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards of the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).
• Advertising (Meta pixel), only if you accept it and only on the website: tells us how many people arrive from our Instagram and Facebook ads. Without it we don't know whether the advertising money is doing anything. It isn't activated without your permission and isn't used inside the mobile apps.
• Advertising (TikTok pixel), only if you accept it and only on the website: same as above, for our ads on TikTok. It isn't activated without your permission either, nor used inside the mobile apps.

Technical cookies are essential to provide you with the service, and we don't use them to profile you or for advertising.

How to manage it

You can change your choice about analytics whenever you want: show the notice again. You can also clear the site's storage from your browser settings, although in that case you will be signed out and your preferences will be reset.

If this changes

Today we use two advertising pixels, Meta's and TikTok's, and neither is loaded until you accept it in the notice. If in the future we add another category of cookies, we will update this policy and ask for the appropriate consent through a clear notice before activating them.
